Wedding Photography | Before and After New Jersey Wedding Photographer

Everyone wants to look their best on the day they get married and working with a good wedding photographer is essential to preserving the memories you want from that day.  Whether you’re getting married in a church or on a beach, New Jersey Wedding Photography by New Jersey Wedding Photographer, David Eric can help you to look your best in picturesque photos of your wedding day.  Here are a few ideas for wedding photographs that you can talk about with your photographer so that you preserve every moment of that special day—the before, the during and the after.

1.  Even before you’re dressed, consider a still life consisting of your wedding dress, shoes and jewelry.  This will serve as the “before” image to be contrasted with the “after” image, when you’re already married and dancing in that same dress and shoes.  After putting on your dress but before putting your hair up and donning your shoes, consider a few casual shots which give the feeling of “déshabillé” as the French say.  It’s the kind of photo where you’re caught in-between and there’s a sense of breathless anticipation about it.

2.  Sometimes, taking photos on your wedding day can be a bit nerve-wracking.  You’re too keyed up to smile and pose and you end up looking awkward.  Some couples schedule a different day to take photos, either before or after the ceremony.  Since these photos are taken on a totally different day, you can take them anywhere.  Many couples like to take photos in parks where there are many picturesque places to shoot romantic photos.  For example, you could request a photo of just the bride or the bridal couple on a small wooden bridge or in the tunnel under the bridge.  If there are any arches in a park, a photo of the bridal couple kissing under one of them is very romantic.

3.  Then, of course, there are the photos at the ceremony itself and during the first dance.  Often, impromptu photos look the best.  If you really are enjoying yourself, it’ll show in your photos.  So it’s best to just do this rather than try to pose at this point.  Enjoy yourself and let the photographer do his/her job.  Contact us for wedding photographs that will last a lifetime.
